MEKLIT is an Ethio-American vocalist, composer, and cultural instigator bringing together Ethio-Jazz with a singer-songwriter's storytelling and strum. Her album When the People Move, The Music Moves Too came out last June to rave reviews. Produced by multi-GRAMMY winner Dan Wilson (Adele, John Legend), it was named amongst the Best Soul Albums of 2017 by Bandcamp and amongst the 100 Best Albums of 2017 by the Sunday Times UK. Known for her electric stage presence, New York Music Daily named Meklit's April 2017 Lincoln Center show one of the Best NYC Concerts of 2017.

"With her latest masterpiece, Meklit has affirmed her place among her childhood heroes: at the shining crossroads of two cultures, making truly moving music."  - POPMATTERS

MAYA JUPITER: The Chicana From Down Under.
Maya Jupiter is a Mexican-Turkish songwriter and emcee who grew up in Sydney, Australia, now based in LA. With two solo albums under her belt, she’s got a third on the way due March 2018. The new record was created with Quetzal Flores + Martha Gonzalez of Grammy Award winning East LA rock band Quetzal, as well as her husband, singer/songwriter Aloe Blacc. The album is inspired by Son Jarocho and stays true to Maya's love of hip hop, dancehall and soul, made up almost entirely of live instrumentation, including Mexican harp, tarima and jarana.

Maya Jupiter is a true ARTIVIST and you can now hear her as the host of The Global Village every Monday form 11am on KPFK 90.7FM Los Angeles and www.kpfk.org
